Director of Development

Christy SchoedingerChristy Schoedinger has been director of development at the Wexner Center since July 2012, leading a development team focused on traditional and innovative ways to secure the necessary resources to advance the mission of the Wexner Center. Her portfolio includes the cultivation of local, national, and international corporations, foundations, individuals, and government agencies to secure annual support as well as funds for the center’s capital campaign. Schoedinger works closely with other members of the center’s senior team to pursue an advancement strategy that parallels and complements that of the university overall, working to increase awareness, participation, and sustained engagement amongst the center’s multiple constituencies.

Most recently before joining the Wex, Schoedinger served as director of development and external relations at the Columbus School for Girls. She has also been director of development at the James Cancer Hospital and the College of the Arts at Ohio State, as well as executive director of the Dublin Arts Council. She has also worked at the Columbus Cultural Arts Center and Worthington Arts Council, and served on the board of directors of the Japan-America Society of Central Ohio, Alliance of Ohio Community Arts Agencies, the Dublin Fund, and the Chamber Music Society of Dublin. She has also chaired committees of the Emerson Burkhart Mural Preservation Task Force, the Columbus Arts Marketing Association, and Columbus Arts Festival, and has served as a panelist and presenter at various conferences and symposia. Schoedinger earned a B.A.E. from Ohio State’s Arts Administration program.
