Varied and Unique Spaces
Since opening in 1989, the Wexner Center has attracted international acclaim for its innovative architecture and well-equipped facilities, as well as its bold artistic programs. Designed by architects Peter Eisenman and Richard Trott, the Wexner Center building houses four exhibition galleries (totaling approximately 13,000 square feet), an intimate video exhibition space called "The Box"; the Film/Video Theater; and the Performance Space, a "black box" theater with flexible seating. Also on site are Wexner Center offices and the Art & Technology facility, a state-of-the-art video postproduction studio.Mershon Auditorium, adjacent to the Wexner Center building, features a large multipurpose auditorium/theater, as well as complete front-of-house and back-of-house facilities and administrative spaces.
The Wexner Center also presents events at several other venues on campus. These include Weigel Auditorium, a 800-seat concert hall administered by Ohio State's School of Music, and Thurber Theatre at Drake Performance and Event Center, a mid-sized proscenium theater administered by Ohio State's Department of Theatre.
Ohio State's Fine Arts Library and Cartoon Research Library are located on the lower level of the Wexner Center building. The entrance to both libraries is from the outdoor walkway under the Wexner Center's grid and can be found just south of the 17th Avenue Plaza.
Visitor Amenities
The Wexner Center Store in the lower lobby showcases the region's best selection of books on contemporary art and artists, as well as jewelry, accessories, gifts, and housewares. It is an Apple Authorized Campus Store.Cam's on Campus, the cafe located in the lower lobby, is a partnership between the Wexner Center for the Arts and Cameron Mitchell Catering Company. The casual menu, served over the counter, includes fresh sandwiches and wraps, organic rice bowls, soups, salads, smoothies, coffee and espresso drinks (including free trade coffee), and fresh baked goods.
Free, unlimited WI-FI access is available to all our patrons in the cafe and lower lobby areas through Harbor Link. Access to the OSU Wi-Fi connection is also available to all faculty, staff, and students.

Mershon Auditorium is available for rent to all corporations, groups, and organizations.
Corporate and individual donors to the Wexner Center, nonprofit groups, and Ohio State University departments and units may rent facilities in the Wexner Center building--the Performance Space, Film/Video Theater, and the cafe area/lower lobby--for business and social functions.
