Summer Workshop Registration Now Open!
March 15, 2010
Get the kids in your life geared up for summer and thinking about our intensive, week-long studio workshops in June, July, and August.
Registration for the Wexner Center’s popular summer workshops for youth and teens opens to all on Monday, March 15.
These innovative half-day, weeklong courses are led by talented, practicing artists from The Ohio State University and community, including M.F.A. and Ph.D. graduates and candidates in art, art education, art history, dance, and theater, as well as other accomplished artists and educators. This year, the classes are inspired by the Wexner Center’s summer exhibition featuring the interdisciplinary work of L.A.-based artist Mark Bradford, which is steeped in contemporary urban collage.
Registration fees are $95 per student, per workshop for the general public. Members save with registration fees of just $75 per student, per workshop. Registration fees include materials and equipment. Scholarships are available for children who would otherwise be unable to attend such a program.

Wex Accepting Submissions for Ohio Shorts Film Showcase
December 29, 2009
The Wexner Center is now accepting entries for the newly named Ohio Shorts juried film showcase through March 26, 2010. The popular annual showcase—to be held May 8, 2010 and to include both an adult and a youth division—provides Ohio's independent media artists a chance to show their work in a theatrical setting in front of an audience. Last year's showcase brought in entries from across the state, ranging from traditional filmmaking narratives to flash animation. Works will be selected by a diverse jury of media professionals and artists.
Wex at Gateway
November 16, 2009
Beginning in early January, the Wexner Center Film/Video program will begin continuous programming of two screens within the newly christened Gateway Film Center's seven screens, essentially tripling the number of film screens at the Wexner Center's disposal. This means having access to an even fuller spectrum of film repertoire and allowing us to premiere more films at the Wex, which can then be immediately followed by their run at the Gateway. In addition, it allows Campus Partners to re-conceive the entire Gateway theater venue to better accommodate the OSU community as well as local and regional audiences. Read more here.
