Birth Announcement: Virtual Pasture

Mon, May 3, 2010

The Virtual Pasture, Michael Mercil's “agri/cultural” installation outside the Wex is growing: The project has added a new member! In the early morning hours of April 20th, Hannah (one of the three members of the flock, pictured above) gave birth to a beautiful, healthy black lamb. True to her reputation in the flock, Hannah is proving to be a loving and nurturing mother. Come down to the Wex (oval side) today from 10 AM to 3 PM for Michael's monthly visit with the sheep to the meadow. In the meantime, those walking by the Virtual Pasture can check out the 24-hour monitor to see the sheep in their home at the Stratford Ecological Center, just north of Columbus.
