Earl Scheib or Pollock?

Did you happen catch the Pollock-inspired RV parked near the front of Mershon Auditorium and the Wexner Center on Tuesday (see above)? The vehicle in question was the rolling home to a video crew for the 12-part television series, Artland: USA, produced by a British studio. Their stop in Columbus was part of a two-month trip across the U.S., visiting museums, artists, architectural wonders, and roadside attractions--and at the Wexner Center, they were most interested in our high-profile artist residencies.

Producer Sebastian Grant, host Charlie Luxton, and a video crew shot footage of the building's exterior and the galleries, and taped an interview with former Wexner Center residency artist and OSU faculty member Ann Hamilton in her Columbus studio. (They even found time to buy a few things from the Wexner Center Store to take back to London.) The series should air sometime in the fall on the 24-hour arts network Gallery HD, one of 15 high-definition outlets provided by VOOM HD Networks. Watch this space for more details.
