Never Travel Far Without a Little Big Star (prize package)

Wed, Aug 7, 2013

We’re excited about hosting the Columbus premiere of the terrific new documentary Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me, about the legendary Memphis band and its short, but wildly influential, career.

To get you ready for our two nights of screenings, we’ve put together a Big Star prize package perfect for the longtime fan or someone who’s just dipping their ears in the Big Star waters. Just fill out this form (it’ll be quick and painless) and you’ll be entered to win a copy of the 33 1/3 book Radio City by Bruce Eaton, the film’s theatrical poster, a pair of tickets to one of our screenings, and a copy of the film’s soundtrack on vinyl (featuring previously unissued versions of classic Big Star songs). The contest deadline is Thursday, August 8 at 3 pm. We’ll notify the winner by email.

And don’t forget that the Big Star celebration continues after the Friday screening with a tribute show at the Tree Bar featuring Columbus musicians playing their—and your—favorite Big Star songs. Details on the lineup here.

Thanks, good luck, and if you want to be sure you get tickets for the screenings, reserve yours now.
