No Review, No Problem

Several nights of packed houses last week for films ( Harvard Beats Yale 29-29, Not Your Typical Bigfoot Movie), not the least of which was on Wednesday for Steve McQueen's Hunger. It's heartening to see a crowd of film fans gather—especially for a Camera D'Or winner like Hunger—which, by the way, didn't receive any coverage in the local film pages. But lest we think our situation is unique, here's a good article by L.A. Weekly and Village Voice film editor Scott Foundas concerning the L.A. Times lack of coverage of the same film.

Trust that we will continually search for the best arts writing available, and present articles and reviews here on our site, so that our audience can be informed about the films we're showing.
