"Planets in perfect alignment"

Thu, Nov 5, 2009

It seems like the whole city is buzzing about Numero's Eccentric Soul Revue at the Lincoln Theatre on Monday. The Alive's spread provides a glance at locals Marion Black and The Four Mints, while The Other Paper gets a little deeper than is comfortable with headliner Syl Johnson—and notes that this show is "like astrological planets in perfect alignment for something good happening. "Be sure to check out this Sunday's Dispatch for further evidence that you don't have many excuses for missing Monday's Soul Revue at the Lincoln Theatre (unless of course you planning on going to this).

If you need a little more convincing, our Numero Mixtape is sure to whet your musical appetite, and our Eccentric Soul Brunch on Saturday will try to keep it at bay until Monday night.

Catherine Opie, Untitled #1, 2012

Be sure to RSVP for our Spring Exhibitions Preview on Friday, May 15—and don't miss a conversation with Catherine Opie and Jack Whitten right before the reception.

Stephin Merrit

Magnetic Fields front man Stephin Merritt brings an acoustic set (and longtime bandmate Sam Davol) to our intimate Performance Space on Saturday, May 16.
