Visiting Filmmaker: Steve McQueen

Sun, Mar 8, 2009

It's big news when Turner Prize recipient Steve McQueen's first full-length feature film, Hunger, lands. The story gets bigger when the film wins the Camera d'Or at Cannes last spring. Already a star in the art world (McQueen is England's representative to this year's Venice Biennale), Hunger is racking up accolades from film critics far and wide. Not only will the film make it to Columbus before it opens commercially in New York (on March 20), McQueen will introduce its screening here at the Wexner Center on March 18. Get your tickets now for this very special evening. Read Dennis Lim's feature in Sunday's New York Times here.
