Westerns @ Wex

Wed, Nov 21, 2007

People have Westerns on the brain!  We’re experiencing a mini-cycle of new films including 3:10 to Yuma, The Assassination of Jesse James, No Country for Old Men, and the upcoming There Will Be Blood.  The Sunday New York Times Magazine (11.11.07) was devoted to the genre and in January we are presenting a nine-film survey including staples such as The Searchers and Rio Bravo as well as lesser-known titles such as The Plainsman and Trail of the Vigilantes. Click here for a complete list of films in the series. -- Dave Filipi, Film/Video Curator
