Sherri Geldin, Jeff Smith, Lucy Shelton Caswell, and Tom Spurgeon talk Cartoon Crossroads Columbus

This year's inaugural Cartoon Crossroads Columbus (CXC) was an unqualified success. It was an unprecedented collaboration with organizations and artists that brought hundreds of cartoon artists to our town, all with the goal of celebrating this art form. We were honored to be a part of something so special. And the even better news? CXC is just getting warmed up. The festival returns in 2016 and it'll be bigger and bolder, establishing Columbus as a worldwide hub for cartoon and comic art. You can get a peek at what's to come with this terrific conversation at the Columbus Metropolitan Club. Wex Director Sherri Geldin hosted this forward-thinking conversation about all things CXC with Ohio State Professor Emerita Lucy Shelton Caswell of the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum; cartoonist Jeff Smith (Bone); and Tom Spurgeon, editor of The Comics Reporter. Caswell was one of the organizers of CXC along with Smith, CXC’s president and artistic director; Spurgeon, CXC’s executive director; and many others.
