Blue Hair School Performances

Created and performed by Peter Cutts

wex grid image fill

Weaving together poetry, music, imaginative storytelling, and strong visual images, Peter Cutts plays a host of different characters using props and costumes on his quest to find "Blue Hair."

Recommended for grades 3-7. On a virtually bare stage, Cutts creates the vastness of a Scottish beach, the eeriness of a deserted house, and the trepidation of crossing a rope bridge, bringing young audiences along as he follows a trail of clues on a remarkable journey.

Based in London, England, Cutts is a former teacher noted for his innovative poetry performances and audio projects targeted for and often developed with young people. Enthusiastic teachers praise his performances for thoroughly engaging and inspiring students on many levels, bringing "words to life" and opening up "lots of possibilities for the children to explore."
