When a King sends his three sons to find brides, two return with fair ladies. The third returns with...a FROG?! Your students will love this hip new adaptation of a classic Russian folktale. Witty and expressive storyteller David Gonzalez performs every role against a vivid video backdrop inspired by the art of Vasily Kandinsky. Two live musicians (violinist Christian Howes and composer/keyboardist Daniel Kelly) interweave themes from Sergei Prokofiev with an original jazz-funk score. Filled with comic sparkle, this coming-of-age story engages the imaginations and opens the hearts of all ages.
The experience doesn’t have to end once the curtain falls. Classes that attend this performance can request an Expanded Classroom: Interactive Performing Arts Post-Visit with a professional performing artist or educator. Please mention your interest when you register your class for the performance.
To register your class for the performance or an Expanded Classroom session, please call (614) 292-6493.
If you are interested in other shows that brim with magic AND intelligence, stay tuned for info on two more shows coming in the winter and spring.
