Many classic films are just as powerful today as when they were first released. We add such films from many genres to our schedule throughout the season. Many are shown on the occasion of their rereleases, in fresh, new or restored prints.

The sci-fi classic is back in digitally remastered glory.

The 70 millimeter rerelease of Stanley Kubrick's 1968 masterpiece was planned by the director himself before his death.

Encompassing nothing less than the history of mankind, Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey adapts Arthur C. Clarke's novel of the same title, a meditation on the nature of humanity and its reliance on technological devices that bring both liberation and destruction.

The film is arguably the most avant-garde ever released by a Hollywood studio. Through this stunning restoration, its mysterious beauty remains undimmed. (139 mins.)
