Over the past ten years, Anri Sala has gained international acclaim for videos that exist somewhere between fiction and documentary, often using simple images as metaphors for social and political realities.

In Untitled, Sala films a journey by boat through a mangrove swamp in the delta between Senegal and Gambia. As the boat moves along the water, the image alternates between moments of complete abstraction and an almost physical clarity. Originally from Albania, the artist is now based in Paris.
