One of this year's most acclaimed and strikingly unique releases, The Arbor is based on the life and autobiographical writings of the late British playwright Andrea Dunbar.

Director Clio Barnard focuses on Dunbar's troubled relationship with her daughter and audaciously has actors lip-synch documentary recordings of the family, friends, and neighbors they play. The result transcends genre and defies categorization. (94 mins., video)
