Benda Bilili! follows this Congolese band from the streets of Kinshasa to the world's largest stages, culminating in the 2009 release of their acclaimed album Tres Tres Fort.

The filmmakers first encountered the band (four paraplegic musicians and three able-bodied ones) and their homemade instruments outside the Kinshasha zoo in 2004 and began recording their struggle to survive with their music. (85 mins., 35mm)
