Many classic films are just as powerful today as when they were first released. We add such films from many genres to our schedule throughout the season. Many are shown on the occasion of their rereleases, in fresh, new or restored prints.

"A testament to the extraordinary artistry of silent cinema."--Martin Scorsese on Beyond the Rocks

Lost for over 80 years, the recently rediscovered and restored Beyond the Rocks features the only screen pairing of Gloria Swanson and Rudolph Valentino, two of the silent era's most luminous stars. The film was restored by the Nederlands Filmmuseum. (85 mins.)

Screening first is the comic short Neighbors, a hilarious riff on the Romeo and Juliet story starring Buster Keaton. (18 mins.)
