Only now being seen in its original, longer German form, The Blue Angel is the film that catapulted Marlene Dietrich to international stardom. It's also the first of her legendary collaborations with director Josef von Sternberg. The new print features the orginal scene sequence, newly translated subtitles, and rare footage of Dietrich's screen test. (103 mins.)
