Born to Fly is a mesmerizing portrait of choreographer Elizabeth Streb, founder of Brooklyn’s STREB Extreme Action Company. Described by many as the “Evel Knievel of Dance,” Streb continues to astonish with her radical marriages of performance art, acrobatics, and theater. Of the numerous performances featured in the film, perhaps none dazzles more than her action-engineers bungee-jumping off London’s Millennium Bridge. Streb was the recipient of the 1995-96 Wexner Center Residency Award in Performing Arts for her work UP. (82 mins., DCP)
