To mark World AIDS day/Day With(out) Art, the Wex will join with several other arts organizations across the country to screen Last Address, including Tate Modern, The Andy Warhol Museum, and El Museo de Barrio, among others. This latest film by Ira Sachs takes you on a tour past the exteriors of the last residences of New York artists who have died of AIDS, including Keith Haring, Robert Mapplethorpe, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, and others. Last Address offers a remembrance of these artists’ continued influence and an acknowledgment of the cumulative cultural loss brought on by their deaths. On view today only, the film will screen continuously today in The Box. (8 mins., video)
