“Fundamentals are the crutch of the talentless.”—Kenny Powers

Airing four seasons on HBO, the often outrageous comedy Eastbound & Down stars Danny McBride as washed-up Major League pitcher Kenny Powers, whose taste for drugs, drink, and women only serves to stoke his narcissism and inflated self-appraisal of his fading talents and marketability. For this special event, we’re screening two episodes directed by David Gordon Green (Season 1, Episode 2, 2009, and Season 4, Episode 6, 2013) followed by a Q&A with the director. (Program approx. 90 mins.)

Thanks to HBO for their assistance with this screening.

Later this evening, we will again welcome Green as  he introduces his latest feature, Joe.
