A hybrid of documentary and essay, Double Take examines Cold War paranoia through the prism of Alfred Hitchcock's films and TV shows of the late 1950s and early 1960s.

Employing vintage news footage, radio broadcasts, and the voice of a Hitchcock impersonator, the film reveals a fascinating connection between Hitchcock's showmanship and America’s collective anxiety about the nuclear arms races. (80 mins., video)
