In this incredibly touching family drama by Hirokazu Koreeda—one of the finest filmmakers working today—a couple receive an unexpected phone call informing them that their six-year-old son was accidentally switched at birth. On finding out that the son they had been raising for the past six years is not their biological child, and in encountering the rough-yet-caring family that has been parenting their natural child, the couple must examine the very foundations of what binds families together. Like Father, Like Son won Koreeda the Jury Prize at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. (120 mins., DCP)
