Join us for an intimate conversation between acclaimed novelist and critic Frederic Tuten and Richard Fletcher, associate professor in Ohio State’s Department of Classics. The pair will discuss how storytelling and fictional narratives can illuminate the relationship between art and life, as well as their shared interest in the dynamic between the visual and verbal arts from antiquity to the present. This promises to be a timely and stimulating conversation as Tuten is currently writing his memoirs and Fletcher is working with Tuten’s literary archive, which is partially housed in Ohio State’s Rare Books and Manuscripts Library. A book signing with Tuten in the Wexner Center Store follows the talk.
