Praised for its stunning production design, The Gaucho was Douglas Fairbanks's last silent film.

Fairbanks portrays the leader of a band of outlaws vowing to topple the corrupt regime of "Miracle City," where pilgrims come from across South America to worship at the shrine of the Madonna (played in a brief appearance by Mary Pickford). With Lupe Velez. (96 mins.)
