Join us for two vintage British thrillers presented in conjunction with Cinevent, Columbus’s annual gathering of cinephiles and collectors.

Written by Graham Greene, the hard-boiled proto-noir The Green Cockatoo follows nightclub singer John Mills as he tries to help new-to-London René Ray flee a false murder charge. The twist? Neither knows the body belongs to Mills’s brother. Score by Miklós Rózsa. (65 mins., 35mm) In Jet Storm, tensions mount aboard a crowded airplane when a mourning father (Richard Attenborough) announces he’s identified the man who killed his daughter in a hit-and-skip accident and has placed a bomb on board to get his revenge. Directed by Cy Endfield (Zulu) and also featuring Stanley Baker, Hermione Baddeley, and Diane Cilento. (88 mins., DCP)

Cinevent 46 runs May 22–25 this year. For more information visit cinevent.com.
