Don't miss this fun double feature that's free for Ohio State students--with Halloween candy included!

It's difficult to overestimate the influence of Hitchcock's Psycho, a film that has frightened two generations of moviegoers and has seduced scholars into trying to measure its cultural and cinematic impact. See it now on the big screen--the Bates Motel has never looked better! (109 mins.)

The Black Cat features the first pairing of icons Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff in a campy horror classic having nothing to do with the eponymous Edgar Allan Poe story. Karloff plays an evil architect (and Satanist) holding a young couple in his modern Bauhaus castle. Lugosi is a vengeful psychiatrist bent on killing Karloff for stealing his wife. Stylishly directed by Edgar G. Ulmer (Detour). (65 mins.)
