The Keatonesque comedian Toto plays a picaresque Everyman who wanders around the outskirts of Rome with his son and a talking crow. They examine religion, progress, and the texture of everyday life among the have-nots of Italian society--the "sparrows" preyed upon by the ever-circling "hawks." (91 mins.)
