In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Japanese master Akira Kurosawa's Ikiru is back in a new 35mm print with newly translated subtitles. As powerful as when first released, Ikiru (which translates as "to live") follows a middle-aged government worker who attempts to find meaning in his life when told he has a terminal illness, moving from drunken despair to a quiet resolve to make his final days meaningful.
