The Box

As part of the Wexner Center’s 25th anniversary, The Box is dedicating the entire year of programming to work produced in the Film/Video Studio. Screenings in this free exhibition space for video, located just across from the Wexner Center Store, run continuously seven days a week, the same hours as our ticket office (Mon–Wed: 9 AM–6 PM; Thu–Fri: 9 AM–8 PM; Sat: 10 AM–8 PM; Sun: 11 AM–6 PM).

Combining humor with a serious critique of contemporary news media and culture, the New Report series puts a new spin on traditional activist video.
The second installment of this ongoing series of performances and videos, New Report, Unknown Artist, features K8 Hardy (founder of the queer feminist art collective LTTR) and Wynne Greenwood (of Tracy and the Plastics) playing Henry Iragary and Henry Stein-Acker-Hill, an anchor and roving correspondent for WKRH, a feminist TV news station whose tagline is "pregnant with information." The feature of this report is the search for paintings that were seen being thrown into the street by a woman. Was it the artist throwing away her own work? If so, why? (17 mins., video)
