Zoom: Family Film Festival

Each year the Wex brings families and film fans a long weekend of incredible movies for all ages: fiction and documentary, live action and animation, features and shorts, American-made and international, contemporary and classic. Fun activities and events are also part of the schedule, often involving special guests, hands-on projects, and even tasty refreshments.

Sat, Dec 7, 2013 10 AM

Our annual screening of lively animated shorts from New York International Children’s Film Festival is always a crowd pleaser. This year’s line-up features a beautifully animated poem about Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead, Mexico’s holiday celebrating departed family) and several new Notebook Babies, an ongoing series of brief quirky educational animations by artist/teacher Tony Dusko. 2001: A Space Odyssey

Don't miss 2001: A Space Odyssey—screening in glorious 70mm as part of A Summer Abroad ‘14—on Thu–Fri, Aug 28–29.
