“Beautifully meditative…an enriching experience.”—Variety

Where Are You Taking Me? is Kimi Takesue’s personal and contemplative look at everyday life in post–civil war Uganda. Employing an observational style and lyrical pacing, Takesue depicts the vibrant streets of Kampala, a center for former child soldiers, a pulsating night club, and the quiet of the Ugandan countryside to form a portrait of the country rarely seen in the United States. Takesue’s past films include Summer of the Serpent (2004) and Suspended (2009). (72 mins., video)
