Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky specializes in large-scale images of seemingly beautiful but often-toxic industrial landscapes. In Manufactured Landscapes, director Jennifer Baichwal probes further, investigating how human inhabitants endure these environments, including workers in a factory who make clothes irons and people who mine discarded electronics for valuable metals.
