A young woman gains employment as a page turner for the famous concert pianist who thwarted her promising musical career as a child, setting in motion a number of deliciously tense opportunities for revenge. Director Dercourt is a professional musician as well as a filmmaker. On this film he discovered "how similar the mechanisms of suspense are to the techniques of writing music." Deborah Francois delivers as a star-making performance as the title character in her first film since her debut performance as the mother in the Dardennes' L'Enfant. (85 mins., 35mm)
