For this unusual project, 11 eclectic filmmakers, artists, and musicians have responded to the profound beauty and sly humor of Leonard Cohen’s music by creating short films for each of the songs on New Skin for the Old Ceremony, an album he released in 1974.

Organized by Cohen’s daughter Lorca in conjunction with the Hammer Museum, the compilation includes videos by notable and upcoming artists, including Brent Green, Kelly Sears, and Lucky Dragons, and features such classic Cohen songs as “Chelsea Hotel #2,” “Who by Fire,” and “Take This Longing.” (38 mins., video)
