Ohio Short Film & Video Showcase
Youth Division
Sat, May 12, 2007 4:30 PM

Don't miss the incredibly creative and dynamic work created by young people in Ohio! The Youth Division of the Ohio Short Film & Video Showcase provides younger independent media artists from throughout the state with a chance to show their work in a theatrical setting.

Last year's crowd witnessed 19 short works by young artists from around the state. This year, 27 short works are on the schedule--including some animations that are rumored to be quite amazing.

Prizes are awarded to the top youth-produced videos. Winners will be announced at the screening. (Shown here are images from some of the 2006 prizewinners.)

Stay after the show for a free public reception, from 6 to 7 PM in the
lower lobby. Local high school band The Mercury Retrograde will perform a special live acoustic set in the café, and free beverages and snacks will be served. The evening showcase screening follows at 7 PM.

(The Youth Division Showcase features works by film- and videomakers ages 18 and younger. The evening screening features works by artists ages 19 and older.)
