An inspiring look at the destructiveness of religious intolerance, from the Holocaust to September 11. A deeply personal film from the makers of A Life Apart: Hasidim in America, Hiding and Seeking tells the moving story of a father (codirector Menachem Daum) who travels from his Brooklyn home to Israel to alert his adult Orthodox Jewish sons to the dangers of religious intolerance in the wake of September 11. Together they travel to Poland where they track down the farm family who risked their own lives to hide the sons' grandfather from the Holocaust. It's an inspiring look at the destructiveness of religious intolerance, skillfully cast as an intergenerational saga of survivors, their children, and their childrens's children. (85 mins.)
