In the Pit is a group portrait of a construction crew building the second level of the massive Periferico Beltway in Mexico City. Winner of the World Cinema Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, this film focuses on the distinct personalities that make up the work crew. Director Rulfo sheds light on the hopes and dreams of people who labor unnoticed by the thousands who drive by them every day. (84 mins., 35mm)
