Program 2
Fri, Jan 18, 2002 7 PM

Tonight's screening marks the world premiere of Gregg Bordowitz's Habit, and features a recent work by Cleveland-born filmmaker Renee Green.

Gregg Bordowitz's latest film Habit is a loose follow-up to his landmark 1995 film Fast Trip, Long Drop. The writer, video artist, and AIDS activist intercuts footage and interviews of people involved in South Africa's AIDS crisis with more autobiographical segments. (2001; 52 mins.)

Produced to accompany her retrospective at the Vienna Secession, Renee Green's Some Chance Operations is a far-ranging essay on memory and place, focusing on the nearly forgotten Italian filmmaker Elvira Notari. (1999; 37 mins.)

Program approx. 89 mins.
