Our Art & Tech Update series concludes with a screening of short works by Margaret Stratton and the Media Working Group.

Based in Iowa, Margaret Stratton revisits growing up Catholic in Miracle, an irreverent commentary on the significance of the Virgin Mary to impressionable young girls. (2000; 33 mins.)

From Media Working Group in Cincinnati comes Coal Black Voices, a public television documentary featuring the words, voices, and images of the Affrilachain Poets, a loose ensemble of African American and minority writers with strong roots in Appalachia and the South. (Jean Donohue and Fred Johnson, 2001; 57 mins.)
