Sayles's Return of the Secaucus 7 depicts a reunion of formerly radical friends ten years after they were arrested on their way to a demonstration.

In his understated trademark style, Sayles portrays the group's melancholy as they settle into the middle-class lives they once rejected. (110 mins., 35mm)

The Brother from Another Planet stars African American actor Joe Morton as a visitor from another world who has to navigate not only Earthly customs but also the complicated maze of race and class in America. (108 mins., 35mm)

Preservation of Return of the Secaucus 7 and The Brother from Another Planet funded by Anarchists' Convention.

Special thanks to Mimi Brody of the UCLA Film & Television Archive for organizing this tour.

The Brother from Another Planet will begin at 9 PM.
