The Box

As part of the Wexner Center’s 25th anniversary, The Box is dedicating the entire year of programming to work produced in the Film/Video Studio. Screenings in this free exhibition space for video, located just across from the Wexner Center Store, run continuously seven days a week, the same hours as our ticket office (Mon–Wed: 9 AM–6 PM; Thu–Fri: 9 AM–8 PM; Sat: 10 AM–8 PM; Sun: 11 AM–6 PM).

Despite being known as one of the center's “best-kept secrets,” the Film/Video Studio Program is renowned among artists and filmmakers worldwide. The work supported by the studio carries the Wexner Center’s name to audiences at galleries, museums, festivals, and theaters around the world. Although postproduction technology has changed dramatically over the past 25 years, the mission and philosophy of the program has remained the same: to support the creation of new moving image work and to offer an environment where the creative process is nurtured and experimentation is encouraged.

Created by both emerging and established artists, the works produced and presented here feature a wide range of genres and subject matter. It’s an eclectic array; one that exemplifies the center’s commitment to being a laboratory for cutting-edge contemporary art.
