Newly subtitled, Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai is one of the most popular and influential Japanese films ever made.

An action-adventure epic about a band of samurai warriors defending itself and a small village against a marauding army, the film sparked the American remake The Magnificent Seven and indelibly influenced such directors as Sam Peckinpah and Sergio Leone. Starring Toshiro Mifune. (200 mins.)
