Repeats every day until Mon Oct 31 2011 .

In his best-known films, Austrian filmmaker Martin Arnold reedits and expands minute portions of Hollywood movies to create meanings otherwise unapparent in the source footage.

In Soft Palate, he concentrates on a brief portion of a Mickey Mouse cartoon while obscuring all but the soundtrack and an occasional body part, inviting viewers to consider the iconic nature of the character. Soft Palate debuted at the 2011 Rotterdam International Film Festival. (3 mins., 10 secs., video)
