Tom Peosay, 2003

Ten years in the making, Tibet: Cry of the Snow Lion brings audiences to the long-forbidden "rooftop of the world," including undercover and archival images never before assembled in one film.

Please note special start times: 7:30 and 9:30 pm. Functioning both as a riveting travelogue and a political provocation, Tibet: Cry of the Snow Lion offers striking evidence of the Chinese government's determination to wipe out the Tibetan culture and national identity. Narrated by Martin Sheen and with additional voiceovers by Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, and Ed Harris. (100 mins.)
