In these three epically miniature videos, artist and journalist Erin Espelie documents moments—both awesome and quotidian—involving animals and natural environments around Colorado’s Gold Run Creek, at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The narration is taken from the classic series of Disney documentaries from the 1950s that gives Espelie’s trilogy its name, and she manipulates them to further deepen the wonders, mysteries, and unknowability of nature.
