Double Feature

wex grid image fill

In this double bill, directors Olivier Assayas and Fran¡ois Truffaut bring adult relationships and emotional entanglements into unusally sharp focus. Assayas's Winter's Child coolly observes the emotional and romantic attachments among two men and two women as they face the despair of attempted suicide and the hope of childbirth. (1989; 84 mins.)

Fran¡ois Truffaut's Hitchcockian The Soft Skin examines an unhappily married man intoxicated by a beautiful flight attendant. With Fran¡oise Dorl»ac and Jean Desailly. (1964; 120 mins.)
