June's feature is the Universal horror classic The Wolf Man—and the action gets going especially early as GenWex presents a warm-up party (starting at 6:30 PM) where you can listen to the vintage R & B, soul, and new wave DJ trueskillz spins to get the evening started.

This atmospheric, archetypal version stars Lon Chaney Jr. as a man bitten by a werewolf and features the work of makeup genius Jack Pierce. The stellar supporting cast includes Claude Rains, Warren William, Bela Lugosi, and Ralph Bellamy. The film starts at dusk, which should be a little after 9 PM this month. (70 mins., 35mm)

As always, you'll be able to sip beverages from the cash bar and nibble on free snacks of Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams and Pam's Market Popcorn. Adding to variety is the RadDogs Hotdogs cart, where vegan wares will be available for purchase.

In the event of rain, the screening will move inside and begin at 9 PM, and the Wex Drive-In Warm-Up will be canceled.

Two more Wex Drive-In films are scheduled for the summer of 2000, both as part of the Soundtrack Available summer film series: American Graffiti on July 23 and O Brother, Where Art Thou? on August 20.

Wexner Center members receive a commemorative Wex Drive-In mug and discounted drinks at each outdoor film. Not yet a member? If you join at any Wex Drive-In screening, you'll receive a film/video T-shirt and two additional film passes (a $34 value).
