A revelatory “secret history” of feminist art, Women Art Revolution! explores the major developments in women’s art in the 1960s and 70s and their impact on the generation of artists working today.

Prominent artists including Yvonne Rainer, Judy Chicago, Yoko Ono, Cindy Sherman, the Guerrilla Girls, Marina Abramovic, and Miranda July appear in rare archival and contemporary interviews to discuss barriers faced by women in the art world and society at large. Featuring a score by Sleater-Kinney’s Carrie Brownstein. (83 mins., 35mm)
